David H. Bail
Founder
David is the founder of ReUseBricks.com LLC, blending over 35 years of financial leadership with more than four decades of LEGO® collecting, resale, and appraisal expertise. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. In his finance career, David has advanced into senior management roles where he specializes in portfolio management, valuation, and strategy. His extensive background in financial analysis and risk management directly informs his work in LEGO® appraisals, where accurate valuations are essential for insurance, tax, and estate planning. David’s LEGO® journey began in 1980 as a collector, and by 1990 he was among the first 1,000 eBay users, buying and selling sets worldwide. Over the years, he has overseen more than 250 LEGO® auctions, traveled to Denmark more than a dozen times to source collections, and established his presence on BrickLink under the name ReUseBricks. In 2020, he formally launched ReUseBricks.com LLC to expand into structured resale, inventory management, and professional appraisal services. Beyond business, David is deeply engaged in community service. He has coached and managed more than 30 youth sports seasons, served on the Bishop O’Dowd High School Board of Regents as finance and endowment chair, and supported organizations including Project Aware, the Alameda County Community Food Bank, and the Barrios Unidos Food Bank. Today, David brings the same passion for mentorship, valuation, and community to ReUseBricks. He is currently pursuing accreditation with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) in personal property appraisal.
